Uluppuni - Part of Idukki wild life sanctuary is situated 10 km from Palette hill view resort. The major attraction of Uluppuni is the picturesque meadows. Uluppuni journey will be a very good trekking experience and worth putting some efforts to see the majestic scenery. The route is completely in an off-road condition which can offer you certain level of adventure also.

In Monsoon season, there are numerous water falls, small and big, on the way to Vagamon from any direction (via Erattupetta or Moolamattam or Elappara - the three routes to Vagamon). Palozhukum para (milk flowing rock) is one of the most famous water falls in the region. As the name says, the water looks like flowing milk with its white color. The water falls are dry during non-rainy months

Moon Mala is an easy hiking destination with a spectacular view. It is an ideal hill top to enjoy sun set. Views of hill tops dipped in mist and mist emerging from valleys will give a heavenly feel. Advised time for all trekking is non-rainy season as rocks can be slippery. Beware of leeches in monsoon season

The pine valley filled with enchanting tall pine trees makes it a nature-lover's favorite spot. A walk through the misty valley is a beautiful experience especially during monsoon when dewdrops cluster on the pine leaves. Murugan Mala is a small hill situated on the eastern side of Kurisumala. The temple of Lord Murugan, situated on this hill, was constructed using a single rock. It is also known as the Murugan Para and is situated about 8 km away from the town of Vagamon. Hundreds of devotees visit the place every year.

Vagamon Suicide Point is a spectacular nature view point with a deep-seated valley. You get cherishing views of mountains and valley and can enjoy fresh air and light breeze. This is a good trekking destination and is also known as Mundakayam Ghat or Amruthamedu. There are organised events where both professionals and new comers can experience the thrill of paragliding. The start point of Paragliding is at the Suicide point / Amruthamedu which is South India‘s Second highest peak.

Thangal para is a famous locationin vagamon situated near kolahalmedu. Thangal para is a rocky mountain landscape where at the peak lies the resting place of a Sufi saint Hasrath Sheikh Fariduddin Baba who came from Afganistan 800 years ago and is now considered as a Muslim pilgrim center.

A collection of small meadows spread over a large area. There are interlocked small ponds at the valley of several meadows. This is one of the major movie shooting locations in Vagamon. Ideal time to visit the meadows is when the sun is not very intense.

Vagamon Orchidarium has more than 3000 varieties of both indoor and outdoor orchids, 200 varieties of roses and various other plants. It is spread over 15 hectare of land. Apart from the plants and flowers, this land is a collection of small meadows and a pond with open sitting and relaxing areas. You can also shop your favourite Orchid varieties and other natural products such as honey, bee wax, spices etc.

Kurisumala, meaning the `Mountain of Cross’ is a Christian pilgrimage site. The hike starts at kallillakavala (Kurisumala base), where you will find the statue of "Jesus in Tabore". While hiking, you will pass 14 stations of "The way of the cross" to reach a small church built on rock at the peak of the hill. A welcoming light breeze is always awaiting you which will take away all your tiredness. Thousands of people hike Kurisumala during Easter season, especially on Good Friday.

The Dairy Farms are located on the way to Kurisumala Ashram on Kurisumala hills. A visit to these dairy farms is recommended while you are in Vagamon. You will feel more close to nature in these farms because of the pristine environment.
